Mountain Gorilla Trek
Encountering Rwanda’s mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is a powerful and unforgettable experience. These majestic animals—our closest wild relatives—share nearly 97% of our DNA. With just over 1,000 left in the world, all living in the wild, they remain critically endangered. Every visit plays a role in protecting their future by supporting conservation programs, ranger patrols, and local communities. By choosing to visit, you're not only witnessing something extraordinary—you're actively helping to ensure the survival of this incredible species for generations to come.

A Cycling Paradise
Rwanda is known as the land of a thousand hills. For those of us who live to cycle what better place to do it, than Rwanda. Tiloreza rents both racing bikes as well as mountain bikes to make your time in Rwanda an exhilarating one.

Dianne Fossey Hike
Often credited with saving the mountain gorilla through her research and tireless, if not unorthodox, advocacy Dian Fossey is synonymous with the region.
When you hike to her grave, you start from the foot of Mount Bisoke and follow a guided trail through bamboo forests, misty slopes, and moss‑draped trees. The trek takes between two to six hours (round trip) depending on the route and pace. The trail leads you to the ruins of the Karisoke Research Center — the place where Fossey lived and worked from 1967 until her death in 1985.
Recommended for intermediate hikers.
Banana Beer Making Workshop
Banana beer is a part of Rwanda's history and culture. Did you know that the king once had a building devoted just to beer?
In this interactive workshop, learn how to make banana beer the traditional way. You may get your hands a little messy, but it is worth the experience. As to the taste, we will leave that up to you. You may or may not want to bring a souvenir beer back to your friends.
